Family Rejects Tosho Oshoffa Leadership Of CCC

This is just an update on the latest concerning one of the oldest churches in Nigeria, The Celestial Church of Christ has been going through leadership troubles for a while and this is the latest

so like last week, Reverend Olatoso Oshoffa, held a press conference where he formally announced his taking over the leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC)

But some immediate members of the late founder of the largest white garment church in Nigeria, have come out to reject the leadership of the church under Reverend Oshoffa despite the elders of the church asking all aggrieved parties to sheathe their swords.
Some children of Reverend Samuel Oshoffa having Senior Evangelist Ebenezer Oshoffa as their spokesperson said: “The family has always avoided public interference in the affairs of the Celestial Church of Christ, founded by our dear father. However, it has become imperative for us to speak out as a family because our son and brother, Senior Evangelist Olatoso oshoffa, is involved.“Some self-centred elders of the church have found an avenue for vendetta by installing Olatoso Oshoffa with a lot of unwarranted fallacies. It should be known that the family did its best to stop recent happenings as we held meetings for peace and stability of the church and Olatoso was, among other things, asked to retrace his steps. Our loyalty remains with Reverend Mobiyina Oshoffa. Our dream is that of a unified CCC, the heritage of our late father, Reverend Samuel Oshoffa.”The CCC and the children of the late founder of the church have been embroiled in a leadership tussle with Olatoso Oshoffa overtaking his elder brother, Reverend Mobiyina Oshoffa, whom he served as a personal assistant until his ambition to take over the leadership of the church. This he achieved through a court judgment.
Meanwhile, the Board of Trustees (BOT) have also joined their voice with that of the Oshoffa family in calling for the resignation of Reverend Olatoso Oshoffa.
In a statement made available to Naij.com on Sunday, June 28, and signed by four principal members of the BOT –Sup. Evang. Bola Akinterinwa (Secretary), Sup. Evang. Pius Olanrewaju (Treasurer), Sup. Evang. John Omotosho (BOT Member) and Sup. Evang. Samson Banjo (BOT Member), it was insisted that Tosho is not the new pastor of the church.
THE statement further indicates that the BOT is handling all matters affecting the church appropriately, so all “parishes are hereby advised to discountenance any publication, proclamation and/or directives that may be issued by Tosho.”It will be recalled that ever since the demise of the founder of the Celestial Church of Christ, the church have been enmeshed in leadership tussle. The Mobiyan/ Olatoso leadership tussle will not be the first the church will be experiencing.

Hope the matter is reolved soonest in Jesus Name.
