Nollywood Veteran Stella Damascus makes a come back to gospel music. Says "it’s about worshipping God with..."

Stella 2

With over 10 years in Nollywood and more than 50 movies to her credit, Award winning actress Stella Damasus who has been off the sceen for a while makes a come back. This time not to acting but to music ...gospel music to be precise. Who knew she was such a song bird too?

The actress who suffered heavy backlash back in the day for allegedly snatching a fellow actress' husband, whom she is still married to till date, said in an interview with SelahAfrik that music has always been part of her. And that It’s not about money or fame; it’s about worshipping God with everything that she have.
I was in a band for almost 3 years before I started acting and I continued till 2011. Music has always been a part of my life but I didn’t feel it was the right time to do my own album because I had to make a decision to either sing strictly for
God or secular music which I used to do and when the time came for me to decide, I chose God and that was when the Holy Spirit gave me the release to do my music.
it was a decision that I made to sing for God. Since he gave me the talent, I decided to use it to honor him. It’s not about money or fame; it’s about worshipping God with everything that I have and all that I am.
Nice move I would say. Charles Okafor, Zack Orji, many Nollywood veterans that have left the acting scenes, if not brought down by one serious illness or the other, have all ran into the church one way or the other. Setting up churches of their own or holding a noble position in the army of Christ. I hope these current nollywood artists are going to follow suit.
