Thousands of people have gathered in a small town in northern Israel to see a statue of the Virgin Mary that a family claims is “weeping oil”. Members of a Christian family from Tarshiha, near the Lebanon border, say they have witnessed a miracle in their living room.

Osama Khoury said Tuesday that his wife Amira found the statue “covered with oil” recently. Amira said the statue “spoke to her” and told her not to be afraid. After a neighbor witnessed the oil, word soon spread.

Parts of the statue appear to be slick with moisture, even after it is wiped off.
The family says it is most striking when a “tear” seems to roll down the statue’s cheek. It says some 2,000 people have come to see the statue over the last week.

Strange things though. I wonder why she is literally weeping. This is actually not the 1st of its kind. There was quite an occassion of same sort reported in a church compound in Edo state, Nigeria some donkey years ago if i can remember well. (then i think i was still in primary school. lol). On such occassion carried on the national news, the said "virgin mary" was crying out blood or some red viscous substance as the case maybe.

Now, on the issue of statures and replicas, I have nothing against the Catholics and their doctrines, but do they totally misunderstand the very 2nd commandment that God gave to Moses on the tablet: THOU SHALL MAKE FOR YOURSELF AN IMAGE OR LIKENESS IN THE FORM OF ANYTHING IN HEAVEN ABOVE, OR EARTH BENEATH OR IN THE WATERS BELOW. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God. EXODUS 20: 4-5.

Someone should please educate a layman like me.
