A man who goes by the name of Matthew Deans allegedly hit the family car of Pastor Gentry Eddings, causing a terrible accident that killed...
the pastor's 2-year old son, Dobbs, and also led to the death of his newborn son, Reed. All this is reported to have taken place on May 23rd- the night of his and his wife's 6th wedding anniversary, in Wilmington, North Carolina.
Moreover, in spite of the tragedy facing them, the pastor and his wife have chosen not to let anything get in between them and their faith in GOD. They claimed to have forgiven the driver that caused the loss of their 2 sons shortly after the accident and here's what they had to say about it:
"GOD has our boys in a place of peace so I am in a place of peace. GOD has a plan. The situation is a frustrating one. We don't want to be here. We don't like it. This is not a fun situation. We're mad at the loss. But we know GOD is good and has a plan and we believe that."
"I hate that this happened. I don't like it at all. But I can trust GOD even when it's really hard. I just trust it. I have to, I have to."
"Well, just think about it from his perspective, Can you imagine being the person who ran into the back of three cars and killed two sons? Can you just imagine the burden your heart would feel? I would be devastated."
And as though matters were not already bad enough, the court hearing was delayed as the judge spent time criticising the driver, Deans, for wearing a fishing shirt and shorts into the court room!
