A well-known sawmill in Ibereko, Badagry, Lagos caught fire yesterday on Friday 25th July and, although (fortunately) no-one was kiled in the incident, the fire ended up spreading to the St. Anthony Catholic church.

Fire fighters from the Lagos State fire service hurried to the scene where they began to struggle to put out the flames; a feat that they did not accomplish until about 6:30pm.
A resident of the area named Hamed gave this statement:
"We just discovered smoke was coming out of some of the planks and before we knew it, 'Thinner' which is a chemical we use to make paint very thick exploded and the whole area went up in flames."Wow, See more pictures below!
