So I just decided to share the new gossip coming from the world of science about the prospect of immortal humans! Funnily enough the idea was just brought to surface by a film called Self/Less. In the film, a cancer patient undergoes a procedure known as 'shedding' whereby his consciousness is transferred to the body of a healthy, young donor. However, experts don't believe that this idea is so far-fetched!
The researcher Wolfgang Fink from the University of Arizona spoke a few words on the subject at a recent panel discussion in California. Here's what he had to say.
"I would see immortality coming from the biological sector,"The thought of this fascinates and stuns me at the same time as GOD tells us there is a time for all things, a time to be born and a time to die. Yet here we are, trying to take the power of sustaining life into our own hands all in the name of science! May GOD help us to be obedient to His will and to advance and progress in ways that are pleasing unto Him! Amen!
"If you manage somehow to prevent cell death from happening or if you extend the lifespan of cells beyond their natural lifespan."
